Senior Database Developer


 

Job Description


Snow’s product delivery is undergoing a transformation from a traditional on-prem delivery to a SaaS / cloud delivery model. As our new Database Developer you would work with maintaining the existing on-prem products, migrate parts to the cloud platform and design and implement newly developed services on cloud.

This is an excellent opportunity presents itself for an experienced Database developer to join an engineering team to work on a variety of application development projects. The individual will work closely with technical leads and developers to assist in both logical and physical database design along with database & SQL performance tuning and optimization.

  • Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability

  • Create and enforce database development standards and ensure cross-team coordination

  • Coach and mentor developers in our organization. Ensure that our ways of working are consistent across the teams

  • Plan and implement data platform resources (Azure SQL database/elastic pools for scale and performance)

  • Implement secure cloud environments (Configure Authentication, Implement Encryption and compliance control for sensitive data)

  • Monitor and optimize operational resources (Index and Statistics Maintenance)

  • Perform administration on Cloud and On-Prem Environments


Qualifications


Must have experience and skills:

  • Strong SQL (SQL Server)
  • Basic NoSQL (MongoDB)
  • Basic C#/.net
  • Basic cloud (Azure, AWS etc)

Nice to have:

  • Strong MongoDB
  • Strong C#/.net
  • Strong Azure
  • Kubernetes
