Duties and Responsibilities
· Inspecting cargo to ensure that it is packed properly to prevent damage during transport
· Loading and unloading aircraft cargo holds using standard cargo handling equipment
· Identifying potential hazards such as excessive weight, oversize items, or improperly labeled cargo
· Record and compile reports on cargo weight, size, dimension and condition, damage occurrences, and other relevant data during transport
· Communicating with dispatchers regarding changes in flight schedules or other issues that may affect cargo operations
· Coordinating with customs agents to ensure that all documentation is in order for international shipments
· Decide on shipping methods and routes for cargo.
· Assist with the tracking of lost or missing shipments
· Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
