PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist School Principal for any administrative matters. 2. Be responsible to teach your subject to students at the school based on teaching schedule given. 3. To plan appropriately to meet the needs of all students, through differentiation of tasks. 4. To be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for students’ learning. 5. To provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all students. 6. To keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning. 7. To maintain good order and discipline amongst all students, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy. 8. To attend meetings and participate as required e.g. Staff Meetings, Parents’ Meetings, school social events. 9. To attend relevant courses and to be aware of current trends in education. 10. To take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening. 11. To run and participate in meetings, school events and activities of a boarding school, which may take place at weekends or in the evening. 12. To undertake supervisory duties e.g. break, lunchtime, team coaching duties. 13. To undertake any duties or responsibilities deemed reasonable by the Head of Department, the Principal or their representatives. 14. The Job description and allocation of responsibilities may be amended by agreement from time to time. 15. Executes directives and memos issued by the school management. 16. Attends daily assembly, morning circle and class sessions. 17. Prepares and submits YLP and WLP promptly. 18. Covers WLP within the planned period of time. 19. Conducts students’ evaluation. 20. Keeps proper record of students’ subject/class attendance. 21. Keeps students’ assessment and exam record properly. 22. Uploads marks in school information system on time 23. Helps in maintaining discipline, cleanliness and orderliness in the class and school. 24. Corrects examination and placement test questions. 25. Carries out teachers’ duties (in the canteen, Assembly, and other areas) with promptness and activeness. 26. Gives students homework and class work. Ensure that the notebooks are checked and corrected. 27. Must not change classes or lesson periods without the knowledge of the principal. 28. Show respects and courtesy to all staff members and avoids rudeness in actions and behavior. 29. Show good time management by entering and leaving the class punctually. 30. Reports any incidents of misbehavior, immoral conduct, or unruly attitude promptly. 31. Takes attendance of students per period of lesson. 32. Guides students on solving problems, homework and class work and reports students who are not complying with directives. 33. Checks and reports on the progress of each student on regular basis with particular emphasis on weak students. 34. Observes the arrangement of the course work (tests, homework, examinations) 35. Ensure prompt submission of examination question papers within the time frame given. 36. Observes the correction of examination papers within the allocated time frame given. 37. Participate in examination invigilation. 38. Attends to Non-Muslim students during Muslim students’ prayer time.
