SIWI is searching for a Summer Intern to join the Marketing team in organizing World Water Week 2023, with this year’s theme Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions in a Water-Wise World. This is an unpaid 3-month internship and students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
In 2022, World Water Week, the leading annual global event on water and development, was held as a hybrid event with over 300 sessions, gathering 500 organizations and more than 5000 participants from 160 countries. Looking ahead, we plan to advance our digital and physical offerings even further!
In this role, an interest in learning more about environmental issues and sustainability is desired, but a water background is not required. Under the supervision of World Water Week’s Head of Marketing, you will join an experienced team of highly skilled professionals responsible for the delivery of World Water Week, the Stockholm Water Prize and the Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist World Water Team with design tasks
- Social media community monitoring
- Live event coverage
- Market research
WHO YOU ARE:
- A student or recent graduate with design proficiency looking to apply your skills and gain experience working in a digital marketing environment.
- A social media native and can produce social media assets and edit videos tailored to the target audience.
- You want to learn more about digital communications in the context of promoting a large hybrid event.
- Can communicate and cooperate effectively with internal and external colleagues.
- Have solid teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Can work independently, proactively and be self-sufficient.
- Can learn new systems quickly with training.
- An interest in events and/ or water issues is desirable, but not essential.
- Speak English fluently or natively.
