Our development team of 30+ people is looking for a UI / Design System Designer to take ownership of the direction and quality of our Design System, as well as to help our other designers in creating awesome user interfaces.

What awaits you with us?
Our journey with Design System is just beginning. During the second half of 2023 we will create a Design System for ourselves. We need you to take ownership of this Design System and ensure our usability, visual outlook, and accessibility are top of the class.
You will work in close collaboration with our three other designers and our developers. You are not shy to have direct contact with our end users. You will be supported by our over 30 people development team including developers, test automation engineers, product owners and designers - and the huge international design community Visma has to offer.
Your role consists of…
- ownership and development of the Design System and related documentation. You also guide and support the team in this field.
- ownership of the process of keeping the Design System up-to-date, consistent, relevant, and useful for designers.
- conducting research related to Design System and creating templates, components, and guidelines based on this research.
- having the last say on how a Design System component should work.
- reviewing designs from a Design System perspective and focusing on making consistent UI.
- coaching and helping designers to collaborate within the Design System framework and to ensure we follow the guidelines.
- taking an active role in communicating the need for Design System for the team and stakeholders, as well as developing the role of Design System.
Our wishes for you as our new colleague
You already have some experience working with Design Systems, but more importantly you love pixel perfect designs. You already know how to use Figma very efficiently and if there is something you don’t know, you’re keen on learning. You are good at making decisions and driving initiatives that you find valuable. You want others to be able to utilise the Design System fully and therefore you are eager to help them in doing so. You have a great visual and aesthetic eye. In this role you also need fluent written and verbal English, Finnish is an advantage but not required.

We believe diversity is a richness so we would love to have applications from designers with various backgrounds. However, unfortunately we are not able to offer relocation services so you would need to be already based in Finland and have a valid work permit.
We have offices in Lappeenranta, Helsinki and Lahti, but you can also work remotely. Salary range for this position is 4300-5300 euros, but we are also happy to hear your expectations.
